Registration is now open on Campmaster https://etex.camp-master.com/ for the Five Rivers District Camporee.
The Camporee will be held at Camp George W Pirtle march 3-5. The event with be themed Skills, Knowledge, and Strength. Boy Scouts and Venturing Scouts will be challenged during different events covering their own skills, knowledge, and strength. Troops will form patrols/teams ranging in size from 5-8 people. Units may have more than one patrol/team. Events will range from shooting sports, pioneering, fire building, scout knowledge, and the capstone event is the cast iron chef competition held at the end of the day Saturday. Start preparing your scouts for a fun filled event where they will have fun competing against each other and use those skills, knowledge and strengths they have.
The event cost will be 5.00 dollars per participant (leaders included), all paid participants will receive a patch, and awards will be presented on Saturday night at the campfire. Registration is to be done using the campmaster online registration system. Payment will need to be made directly to the council office either by mail or phone with credit card. The council office number is 903-597-7201.
Each unit will be responsible for providing their own food and equipment for meals. The dining hall will not be available for use.
Special invitation to all Webelos II who will be crossing over to Boy Scouts this spring, we are having a special crossover ceremony for all of these young men at the event on Saturday night, these scouts are invited to attend the event on Saturday, no overnight camping will be available for the webelos.Webelos may arrive anytime on Saturday but need to be at camp no later than 4:00PM. Webelos do not have to pay any fees to attend. The dinner meal on Saturday for the Webelos and their parents/leaders will be provided.
