Fall Fun and Son Campout

EAST TEXAS AREA COUNCIL, BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA

Come soar the galaxy with your Cub Scout. Participate in star gazing, rocket launching, alien critter hunts and other activities specifically designed to strengthen family relationships and provide fun for you and your Cub. You and your Cub Scout will enjoy hours of fun while enhancing skills in one on one and group activities. Come spend Saturday at GWP for a full day of fun ending with a campfire program. Lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday. Please join us Sunday morning for breakfast and Chapel service.

Who can come?
Registered Cub Scouts, Webelos, Tiger or Lion Cubs ONLY (absolutely no infants) and their adult partner who must be a relative or legal guardian age 21 or older!

All adults spending the night at GWP must provide proof of BSA Youth Protection Training at check in. Online training is available at my.scouting.org.

You may attend either or both of these events.

Fun & Son (A) - October 8 - 9
Fun & Son (B) - October 15 - 16

REGISTRATION: Saturday 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM - Headquarters Building
WHERE: George W. Pirtle Scout Reservation
WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, October 8 - 9 or October 15 - 16
We need adults to volunteer as staff.

Adults staying overnight at GWP must provide proof of BSA Youth Protection Training at check in. Online training is available at my.scouting.org.
Download BSA Health and Medical forms Parts A & B at www.etexscouts.org.

A completed health form for both youth and adults must be turned in at check in.
Do Not submit health forms to the Scout Service Center.
This event will be held rain or shine!
No pets allowed.

THINGS TO BRING
TENT, ground cloth, sleeping bag or blankets, rain gear (just in case), change of clothes, towels and toiletries, insect repellent, FLASHLIGHT, closed toed shoes (NO SANDALS), FIELD UNIFORM (worn for campfire and chapel), folding chairs. Optional: camera, playing cards, Frisbee, football, and money for trading post. You may also want to bring a wheelbarrow, small wagon or plastic garbage can with wheels to transport your gear to your campsite. You must bring completed BSA Health and Medical forms part A & B for each camper for check in. Adults must provide proof of BSA Youth Protection Training at check in.
